Special Session Watch
We are closely watching developments relating to the General Assembly’s special session, which is expected to occur during the week of October 17. Governor O’Malley should issue the proclamation calling the legislature into special session by next week and release the new map of proposed congressional districts. A few minor issues may be considered during the session in addition to congressional redistricting, and Governor O’Malley noted that he may introduce some jobs-related legislation. Things will move quickly once the General Assembly convenes, so stay tuned to the Chamber Action Network for updates.
