Maryland’s Blue Ribbon Commission on Transportation Funding Holds Inaugural Meeting
The Blue Ribbon Commission on Transportation Funding held its first meeting Monday, September 27, in Annapolis. The Commission consists of 25 members and was created to review, evaluate and make recommendations regarding the state’s transportation funding sources to adequately address the needs of the transportation system.
During the inaugural meeting, Commission members were given an overview of the current transportation funding system in Maryland and departmental overviews and summaries from the various transportation agencies and divisions within the state. There are three business representatives on the Commission. The Maryland Chamber is represented by Mark Friis, President and CEO of Rodgers Consulting.
The next two meetings are scheduled for:
October 18, 2-4 p.m.
November 4, 10-12 p.m.
