Howard County Chamber Releases its 2009 White Paper

The Howard County Chamber of Commerce released its 2009 White Paper during a breakfast event last week. More than 200 business people attended, along with many of Howard County’s elected officials. Download the White Paper here.
“The Legislative Committee is the hardest working committee that we have in the Chamber,” said Howard County Chamber President/CEO Pamela Klahr, CCE. “What you are about to hear this morning is the result of months of work by a very large group of people. We have about 50 people actively involved in our legislative efforts. That is why the Howard County Chamber truly can be your representative and the voice of business.”
The event featured a panel discussion moderated by WBAL-TV’s Jayne Miller. Panelists included County Council Chairwoman Courtney Watson, County Councilman Greg Fox, State Senator James Robey and State Delegate Gail Bates. Miller kept the discussion moving and the panel covered a number of important topics.
Here are some video highlights from Sen. Robey and Del. Bates.
It was great to see how active Howard County Chamber members are in the chamber’s advocacy efforts. We talked to a few members and asked them about the most important issues facing their businesses.
