Health Exchange Director Appointed
The Maryland Health Benefit Exchange Board this week announced the appointment of Rebecca Pearce as the Executive Director of the Exchange. Pearce brings extensive insurance experience from her positions with Kaiser Permanente and previously with CareFirst. The Board also received briefings on the latest federal regulations that will govern Exchange operations, and awarded contracts to consultants for three of the legislatively required studies that must be completed by December 23.
