Governor Signs Unemployment Insurance Legislation
Governor Martin O’Malley signed unemployment insurance legislation yesterday afternoon, thanking the Maryland Chamber and other business allies for their work on the bill.
The Chamber worked on several amendments made to the legislation that would ensure the long-term health and stability of the Unemployment Insurance Trust Fund, as well as amendments to offset new costs created by changes to unemployment insurance eligibility and benefits included in the bill.
