DLLR Sec. Perez on Economic Stimulus Package’s Impact on Workforce Issues
Tom Perez, Secretary of the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (DLLR) will meet with Maryland business people on Friday, March 13, from 8:15 a.m. to 9:15 a.m., at the Maryland Chamber office in Annapolis to give a short briefing of how the federal economic stimulus package impacts workforce issues in Maryland. Sec. Perez is interested in the business community’s ideas on how the state should use stimulus funds for workforce retraining and layoff aversion programs. This event was rescheduled from March 3 due to weather.
